Welcome to Acton. My name is Rachael McKinlay and I am the head teacher. This website will give you a flavour of all the exciting things that happen in Acton and the community in which we operate.
As the head teacher, I feel extremely privileged to lead such a wonderful school, ensuring that we provide a curriculum that upholds our strong vision and values that every child achieves and succeeds. We have a strong Christian ethos, which allows us to carry out our Christian vison and values throughout all we do. We have strong links with the local community, particularly with our local Church, St Mary's Acton.
As a school, we strongly believe education is a partnership between school, home and the community and for that reason we encourage the participation of parents/carers in the learning process and in school life. We have extremely dedicated staff and governors who work hard to ensure that we provide the best educational offering for our children. Relationships are a real strength of our school, providing a warm and welcoming environment for all. Positive mental health is at the heart of all we do at Acton, ensuring that we continue to support the children both academically and holistically.
Our aspiration for all our children through their school journey is that they will fulfil their potential and become lifelong learners. We will equip the children with the skills and tools to succeed and maybe have a little fun on the way!
I hope our website demonstrates all the wonderful things we do at Acton, but please do come and visit us to really get a flavour of our wonderful rural school.
